Martin Larsen

Martin Larsen is the founder of EPConsult Energies. Martin started his career in the oil and gas sector in 1990 after having graduated with an MSc in Marine Structural Engineering. He began his energy industry experience with Bureau Veritas in Paris developing software for marine vessel classification. He subsequently spent three years as a platform structural design engineer with Bouygues Offshore (now Saipem) working for Total and Chevron projects. In 1993 he joined Shell International, stationed in the Netherlands, the UK, the Middle East and the Philippines, working in different roles in pipeline engineering and project delivery. With EPConsult Energies, Martin is responsible for leading the consultancy practice. Martin has supplemented his energy industry qualifications with executive management training from INSEAD.

David Price

David Price is Principal Consultant – Engineering, with EPConsult Energies. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, David began his career with Shell in 1973, and has since worked in many locations worldwide. His expertise covers conceptual engineering and field development planning, including early field development studies for the deepwater Malampaya Field in the Philippines, subsea and deepwater production systems, and North Sea asset integrity and life extension. His diverse career with both operating and service companies has given him a solid understanding of the risks associated with engineering and project management in remote, harsh environments, from the hot, dry deserts of the Middle East, to the arctic climate of the NE Caspian. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

William Venn

William Venn is a Principal Consultant with EPConsult Energies. William started his career in the offshore oil and gas sector industry in 1977, working on the Forties Field, having graduated with an BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology from Imperial College, London. He subsequently spent 15 years with BP in North America and the UK as a Development Engineer. Since 1993 William has worked primarily as a consultant in HSE and risk assessment. Prior to joining EPConsult Energies, William worked for Aker Kvaerner as Head of Safety Engineering. William is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
